HAO Properties owns and maintains 580 smoke-free apartments at six different complexes within the City of Owensboro.  The complexes include Smith Homes, Walker Place, Churchill Park, Locke Apartments, Baker Place and Adams Village Apartments.

One, two, three and four bedroom units are available, however there is a waiting list for all units. Rent is based on your household income.  As a general rule, rent in Public Housing will not exceed 1/3 of your monthly gross income.  A security deposit is required before moving into an apartment.

Qualifications for PBV

To Qualify for public housing you must be determined low-income as defined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, pass a criminal background check and have a satisfactory rental history.
