HAO Properties will be conducting a Public Hearing for the purpose of receiving comments from the public regarding the Annual Plan for HAO Properties.

The Public Hearing will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at the New Heights Center located at the Churchill Park Administration Office, 2161 E 19th Street, Owensboro, KY 42303.

Residents, government officials, and other interested parties are urged to attend.  Copies of the Plans and relevant information may be inspected on normal business days from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Housing Authority of Owensboro’s principal office located at 2161 E 19th Street, Owensboro, KY 42303 or on the agency website at owensborohousing.org beginning Thursday, February 19, 2026.  Questions may be directed to Shauna Boom, Executive Director, (270) 683-5365.

HAO will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, with normal operations resuming Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Due to the current waiting period for applicants on the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) wait list exceeding 24 months and the inability to issue new House Choice Vouchers (HCV) due to limited federal funding, the HAO will no longer accept HCV applications effective February 01, 2026.

Let your voice be heard by joining the Residents’ Council.

You can join if you are 18 years or older and by attending a meeting and asking that your name be added to a list of members.

The Residents’ Council is open to all adult residents living in HAO-managed properties.

Smith Homes, Walker Place, Locke Apartments, Baker Place, and Adams Village Resident Council meeting is held the 4th Wednesday of the month at 3:30 pm at Adams Village Community Center. There are no meetings in February, July and December.

Churchill Park Resident Council

We are in need of residents to join the Churchill Park Resident Council. The Churchill Park Council meeting is held the 4th Tuesday of the month 3:30 pm at the HAO office. There are no meetings in February, July and December.
